What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that can be stored on your computer or mobile device while you visit a site (such as michelotto.eu and its second and third-level subdomains) or parts of it, which allows the webserver to store on the client (the browser) information to be reused during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later, even after days (persistent cookies). Cookies are used, according to the user’s preferences, by the single browser on his specific device (computer, tablet, smartphone).

Thanks to cookies, the site retains some information which is then retransmitted when you return to the site or browse from one page to another. Cookies are also used to store anonymous information relating to page navigation (entry and exit links, residence times), process and analyze the performance, operation, and effectiveness of the Site, in order to be able to improve and optimize it.

Similar technologies, such as, for example, web beacons, clear GIFs, and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to collect information on user behavior and use of services. Later in this document, we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies by simply using the term “cookie”.

There are various types of cookies. The Site uses different types of cookies (prepared and managed by the various Providers and not under the control of Michelotto Engineering) and third parties (prepared and managed by third parties based on their own privacy policies and not under the control of Michelotto Engineering).

Below is an explanatory table with a description of the purpose linked to the use, useful for deciding whether to accept or refuse the use of cookies.
